The 2025 Annual Academic Conference of Chinese Criminal Procedure Law were held in Changchun, Jilin Province, from 8 to 9 November in 2025. This conference was hosted by the Chinese Society of Criminal Procedure Law and organised by Jilin University Law School.
Professor Song Zhenwu, Dean of Yantai University Law School and Standing Council Member of the Chinese Criminal Procedure Law Association, along with Associate Professor Liu Wenxuan from Yantai University Law School, were invited to attend the conference and engaged in in-depth exchanges with participating experts and scholars. Professor Liu Wenxuan’s paper submitted to the conference, entitled ‘Deconstructing the Local Implications of Effective Defence and Constructing Local Institutions for Ineffective Defence: Taking the Fourth Amendment to the Criminal Procedure Law as an Opportunity’, was successfully selected for inclusion in the Proceedings of the 2025 Academic Annual Conference of the Chinese Criminal Procedure Law Association.
